Group to produce its first calendar

The group is to produce its own calendar for the year 2013. It will consist of 12 paintings by group members – one for each month. The paintings will be chosen by members in the autumn so that the calendar can be printed in time for Christmas 2012.

Ron Watkins becomes group’s first president

GAG founder-member Ron Watkins was elected as the group’s first president at the annual general meeting in November.Ron has been a member of the group since it was started in the 1950s.

In other business a new committee was elected, with Alan Burgin as chairman, although he and secretary Heather Kohn both announced that they wish to stand down next year.
