Group to return to Knowlton Court

The Group has decided that the 2009 painting holiday will again be held at Knowlton Court, near Canterbury. The group went to Knowlton Court in 2008 and enjoyed the visit so much that it was agreed that the same place would be chosen for the next holiday, which will be from Friday 12 to Friday 19 June. The accommodation consists of 11 double rooms, most of which have en suite or exclusive use bathrooms. In addition two flats will be available which sleep 2 and 4 people respectively. These can be booked either for weekends or for mid-week periods.

Local theme for 2009 postcards

Group members are being asked to paint views of Gravesend and the surrounding area for the next series of postcards. The paintings will be elected for use as postcards  by Town Centric, the Gravesend tourist office and will be sold there, at the group’s annual exhibition  and at the Gravesend public library. Finished paintings should be ready by April 3.

Membership fees

Despite the credit crunch, membership fees for 2009 will remain the same as last year - £25. Fees are due on April 3.
