No group holiday to be held this year

The group will not have an organised painting holiday this year, but it is hoped a holiday for next year will be decided on at the next committee meeting. However, several members are going to Eastbourne in April for a weekend course on ink painting.

The group has had its week-long holiday at Knowlton Court, near Canterbury, for the last two years, but this is not available for this year and in any case committee members felt that members would prefer to try somewhere new.

Various possibilities have been explored but none proved suitable. Members will be asked if they would be interested in returning to previous holiday locations and members will use the feedback to plan next year’s event.

Exhibition set for  August

The group’s annual exhibition will be held at the St Andrews Arts Centre, Gravesend, from August 28 to September 5. It will be officially opened on Friday, August 27, when there will be a private viewing. St Andrews Arts Centre is located in Royal Pier Road and is shown on the map below.
