Members had a great evening drawing and painting these lovely still lifes on a gardening theme. The resulting work was jolly good!

Paul Relf in Annual Artists of the Year 2026

On the club night of 9th October, Gravesend Art Group member Paul Relf was absent. He was elsewhere attending the Society for All Artists annual Artists of the Year 2026 Exhibition, where he had been selected from almost 1800 entrants in the annual competition.

While Paul was not a prize winner, it was an honour to have been selected to appear among the final 50 works, and to show his painting ‘The Gatekeeper’ at the Kingston-upon-Thames ‘Cass Art Space’ Gallery.

All the works were of a very high standard and he was very happy to be seen among them. He’s now wracking his brains for a suitable idea to repeat the performance in 2027!
